Tap "Get Started" on the homepage, fill in your details (name, email, password), verify your identity, and you're all set. The whole process takes about 2 minutes.
After creating your account, you'll get a unique QR code and payment links. Use a tip page to collect tips, or a service page to charge a set price for a session or service. Customers scan the code with their phone camera and pay instantly. No app download required.
Go to your Dashboard, navigate to Payouts, and link your bank account via Plaid. Once linked, you can request a payout at any time. Funds typically arrive within 1-3 business days.
Customers can pay with credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App Pay, Link, and U.S. bank account. They don't need a tipme account to pay you.
The minimum is $1 and the maximum single tip is $1,000. These limits help protect both customers and recipients.
tipme charges a small processing fee on each transaction to cover payment processing costs. You choose who pays it, separately for each payment page and each payment request: the customer (added at checkout, so you receive the full amount) or you (deducted from what you receive). There are no monthly subscription fees or hidden charges. You can see the exact fee breakdown in your dashboard.
Yes. Alongside tip pages, you can create service pages with set prices. For example a session, appointment, or other service you offer. Customers pay the listed amount the same way they would leave a tip.
You may. Payments you receive can be taxable, and tipme or our payment processor Stripe may issue a Form 1099-K when reporting thresholds are met (currently more than $20,000 and 200 transactions per year; some states require lower thresholds). You're responsible for your own taxes. Consult a tax professional for advice.
Go to Settings in your dashboard. You can update your photo, job title, and other details. Your QR code is permanent and linked to your account. It won't change when you update your profile.
On the login page, tap "Forgot password?" and enter your email. We'll send you a reset link. The link expires after 1 hour for security.
